Yeah, Yama san is very popular among his fellow commedians,

He shouldn't have touched a 17-year-old girl.

Yamamoto said himself that he made it a rule to wait for a girl
to become 18 years old before he asked her out.
He obviously have a thing about teenagers, though...
Anyway, I believe in him.

That's why many people said Yamamoto was only deceived.
Let's look at things from a different angle.
The girl was witchy and foxy.
Someone said the girl's boy friend got really angry when
he knew Yamamoto had sex with her and the girl set her mind
on reporting to the police in order to calm her boyfriend down.
I'm not sure if this story was true, though.

I've got the power to fly into the wind
The power to be free to die and live again
This power's like fire, fire loves to burn
Make the world a grave of ashes in an urn
The power in the darkness to see without my sight
Walk among the living free of wrong and right
The power of the magic the power of the spell
Not to serve in Heaven but one day to rule in Hell

Power the power the power

This power's greater than love and of hate
This is the power of will and of fate
The power to kill the power to feel
The power of blood the triumph of steel
Greater that the power of a priest or a sinner
The power to defy to fight and be the winner
The power of the demons spirits I command
Always by my side to serve the master's plan

Power the power the power

None can fight the power none can fight the wind
Secrets of all life and death are carried there within
Call out to the power of the darkness and light
Have dominion of the earth be lord of all the night
Kill all those who stand against you look into their eyes
Drink their blood and laugh as they pay for all their lies
Piss upon their graves then cast a final spell
Fly into the night and one day meet in Hell

Power the power the power

I think you too may find it very useful.
I do at least :-D Especially as my boyfriend was utterly clueless about
what the standard customs in Germany are, when I asked him. I'm assuming
he was unable to inform me of those because he's too used to them, and
do not think of them consciously. Nevertheless, that was frustrating.

190 :Ninety Nine:2006/07/21(金) 13:31:21
Hello. I'm writing to express my opinion about Yamamoto's crime and
Mecha Ike, a popular variety show broadcast every Saturday.

According to Okamura, it was still up in the air whether or not Mecha Mecha Iketeru
would continue. He said he didn't get in touch with Yamamoto Kei-ichi so he couldn't
tell what would happen next. All he could tell us yesterday was the producer of the TV
program decided to cancel all the scedules next week. And he implied he would make
comments on the problem in due course.

I can't say what Yamamoto did was not acceptable, he should learn his lesson, but
the program itself has nothing to do with the incident; Yamamoto went to Hokkaido on his own,
and it was his personal matter.

As things stand now, people might say Mecha Ike should not be continued, but I'm sure
there are many fans of it who feel let down if the program ended. I don't
want it finished myself.

When I took a look at the website of Mecha Ike just now, however, I noticed Yamamoto's name
was deleted in the members list, which made me sure Mecha Ike will go on!

Ah, no. I learned English from TV, starting at the age of 6.
...Which is why my accent is so oddly mixed. American + British + Australian + etc shows...
Though the English book we had in English class from 4th to 6th grade was British.

x I am Russian girl and I want to find a man and marrid!
o I am a Russian girl and I want to find a man and get married!
o I am a Russian girl and I want to find a man to get married to!
o I am a Russian girl and I want to find a man to marry!

The latter two choices are more preferable though, as the first correct
sentence is somewhat ambiguous: you're looking for men, as well as that
apart from that you also wish to get married - the two are not necessarily
connected... I'm making the assumption Lubosuka means that she wishes
to find a man to get married to.

That depends on what you define as well. Keep in mind that
I come from the third largest city in Sweden, and the larger the city
the more likely you are to be subjected to random English in your
daily life through advertisements and such. That I assume, at least.
Stockholm is the Capital city, and thus automatically is more international,
while as Malmö has on several occasions been called "The gate to Europe"
thanks to the Oresund bridge. Which would mean that one might be a bit less
subjected to English.
In grade 10-12, I studied Natural Science bilingually. In my education
all the core subjects in Natural Science were in English (except
for Swedish, of course...).

There are a lot of Swedes who have an as good and better English than me,
if you look at the right places. If people have gone to an education
that's either scientific or media related, they're more likely
to have better English than others. However, there are a lot of people
who didn't go to such educations, but some others, and still have
very excellent English.

Amongst the younger people, you are to expect that the average person
knows English better than the average Japanese young person, though.
At least that is what I expect of my fellow Swedes. Decent English, as
one gets taught English from grade 3 or 4, up to grade 10 or 11, depending
on what education one picks.

Cool, thanks for your detailed explanation, k-tan.
I have the general idea that there in European countries, people seem to have more
exposure to English (due to geographical distance, I guess?) and their mother tongues
are a lot similar to the English language in grammar, structure, spellings, etc, though
I'm not quite familiar with how close the Swedish language is to English in any way...
It's kind of interesting to hear that some subjects are taught also in English, especially
in such early stages of education. Thanks anyway. Hope you feel better.

And now it's time to get back to Yamamoto's scandal case.
I'm sure you have noticed this now. Though "Tokyo Tower" was
not supposed to be on the air, Mecha Ike, a TV variety show where
Yamamoto appears, is going to be broadcast tonight. Many people
feared the program would be put to a stop, and I guess they got
together and sent e-mails to the TV station asking for continuation
of the show.

Look what happened to King chang's golden golds. A number of people
made a phone call, sent e-mails and encouraged him to go on.

The same thing may have happened to Mecha Ike!

Japanese. But her dream is to be an interpreter. Interpreter needs to

"English muscle"?

I know what you feel like too well...

>>257
Well, everybody do not get core subjects taught to them in English,
however one can choose an education that does that. Some schools even
let you get taught the subjects in English already from 7th to 9th
grade... I can't but help feeling that is too young...
Swedish is related to English, yes. Not too closely, but still closer
than some other Indo-European languages:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germanic_languages
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indo-European_languages

That does make it a little easier, and a lot easier
for someone whose main language also is a germanic/indo-european
language than for someone whose main language is completely
different...

324 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/07/23(日) 07:05:38
hmm.. Midnight aproaches.. I should go sleep...
Good morning to the people waking up now.

hey, k-tan are you still awake??

Of course, not. Leave her alone. Are you a stalker?

I will be very happy!

>>327
why are you calling me a stalker? i am not a wanker like you! haha

A war between a stalker and a wanker is going on.lol

>>330
haha... of course. and what about you? are you a wanker like him?

No, I am a professional NEET. I think, all the jobers are losers(働いたら負け)

>>332
but, come on! you can be both wanker and NEET... i have to say being
a stalker is much harder than being a wanker, though.

wanking with a low-teen idol is legally permitted, but on the other hand, stalking her us illegal.
We must observe the law. can you understand?

>>334
but, but, but... i thought i live outside the law!

Make the law,then!

>>336
so do you prefer wanking before a photo of some pre-teen idol to stalking?

yes I do. wanking is my daily routine. I manage to acquire a high level wanking knack.
Wanking with Kaho-chan ,Tenkarin, Mayuko Fukda at the same time.

do you have a gf? or do you wish to have one one day?

>>341
haha... that's good. but personally, stalking is much more fun.

stalking within a law is sometime good way.

>>343
so who's your fav person to stalk?? i mean, if you have one.

  「shoujohino(サンミともいう)」 (http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=shoujohino)が

Who's the hottest idol in Japan now?

My mother.

Your mother? How old is she?

How old do you want her to be?

Ages of which Idol should be.

what a boring response...

Which is because your response was truly boring.

Shake hands, guys. We want new idols, don't we?

oh gimme a break. it's really hot and I have nothing interesting to do...
well I should be going to bed but for some reason I don't feel like it.

Why don't you play video games if you have any.

playing video games alone is boring. me and my friends are playing kingdom hearts 2 together,
but they're not here right now...

How about online games, then?

I'd read books to pass times. I do all the time.

boring... I don't like video games that much anyway.
you should talk to me about something, if you don't have anything else to do either.

>>441
I love reading too~ but I don't feel like reading a book right now.
I guess I just want to sit here doing nothing

You are asking too much. I don't know what would interest you,
and if it's not intriguing to you, you will say you are bored.
That's not acceptable.
Bring up a subject. what do you say?

>>443
You are typing...

Oh, hey, what about going to a website where you can practice typing?

but I don't need typing practice...

>>445
As if you aren't.

>>448
I'm not, actually^^

>>447
How many words can you type in a minute, then?
People underestimate the value of typing practice once
they are somewhat used to it.

Just a moment. I'm going to smoke. I'll be back in a minute.

>>450
I just did a quick typing test and I got 150 wpm.

>>452

English

I'm afraid that's not fast enough. I'd get at least 200 wpm.

haha. well, good thing this isn't a competition.
anyway this is boring to talk about... ask me something interesting?

Again, you have an attitude.
I'd try not to say "this is boring, and that's not interesting"
all the time.

>>456
It is. Are you jelous?

just ask me something...

>>458
jealous of someone who can type faster than I can?
no, there are a lot of people who can do that...

do you want to trust your friend?

It depends on who you are, whether something is intersting or not..

Do you know about Yamamoto, then? Of course, not..
What else should I do?

I trust all of my friends.
if I didn't trust someone, they wouldn't be my friend...

>>459
For starters, then, where are you from?

>>462
yes, I know about yamamoto keichi and the 17-year-old girl
but I don't really follow "scandals"

Waging war is a crime, and supporting the nation is also a crime.

waging war in itself isn't a crime.
it's the motive behind the war that matters.

supporting your nation when you know it's making a mistake--
you could call that a crime.

>>463
that's good. people tell you a false information sometimes.

>>469
yeah, they do...
you have to be careful about who you trust.

>>465
Oh, do you? I thought you weren't Japanese.

Yamamoto, a sort of famous comedian, went to Hokkaido last saturday to play baseball
as a member of Golden Golds, a popular amature baseball team.
But as you know, Yamamoto didn't play baseball, but instead he
made the girl in question drink and after she's drunk, he did what
you know: rape.

do you think only Japanese people know about what's happening in Japan?

yeah, so what? famous people do bad things, and if they're unlucky
they get caught and the media has a party about it.
and people that aren't famous do bad things every day, but nobody cares.

I came to 2ch to practice my Japanese,
I wonder why I ended up having a conversation in English... oh well.

What people are more interested in now is if someone big and influential
was involved with the incident. Have you ever heard of Ishibashi Takaaki?
Some poeple started to suspect he was.

However, Japanese mass media couldn't touch the topic any more.
Very untouchable.

Do you think it's dangerous to come to 2ch? becuase here are many
bad people?

>>472
What made you so sour?

dangerous? haha, no, I don't think it's dangerous at all. it's fun.
looks like a lot of guys are complaining about how they don't have girlfriends, though.

>>475
I have no idea what you are talking about.

life did. but I'm not completely cynical. there are a lot of good people out there, too.

>>472
>but nobody cares.
I don't think so. They make news.

>>478
there are some bad people in 2ch but not many. only one or two, maybe.

>>480
20 years.

it's still nothing compared to the attention "celebrities" get.
but then again, that's what being a celebrity is.
oh well. people will pay attention to what they're interested in, in the end.

20 years... wow. I've only been studying for 7 years.

>>483
Wow. That's alot. Do you have no problem reading and writing Japanese?

>>482
Only one or two? Are you joking?

If you ask me, many more people are nasty, though terrible crimes
are conducted not only in 2ch but also outside of it, you know.
There are hackers in many other websites.

>>487
really? I didn't know that....how fat they can get your information?

they're hacking into your computer right NOW
you better leave before they steal your identity.

Many of Yamamoto's fellow comedians said they couldn't get in contact
with Yamamoto, but Wada Akiko did. Why did that happen?

>>496
haha, not really. I still don't feel like I'm very good.
I had a private tutor for a while, I would go to her house and we would just talk about stuff in Japanese,
or read manga together...
then when I went to college, I couldn't go anymore, so I just study on my own.

Getting connected on the internet is far from possible for them.

In my opinion, people feel feared most when they are cut off from
the world where they should belong and threwn into the darkness.
What should I do? Where in the world am I going now?
When can I go back to my house? And how can it be?
Those anxieties no doubt make them unsettled.

I find teenagers are very rude nowadays. Last weekend, my sister turned
right just a little bit slow. That rude Latino girl pointed her middle
finger at us. We both gave her the middle finger back...but I was pissed
off. Afterwards, there were some other Latino kids in the car throwing
stuffs at our car. I was infuriated but did not pursue after them because
it would be a waste of my time dealing with these rude trashes.

hahaha That's America!

I wish I lived in America! When I encounter that kind of situation, what we do here is
just keep silence and maybe just stare that person. ummm but that's unhealthy to keep
a negative feeling inside ourselves. MIDDLE FINGER is a very good practice inceed!

Do you know how to strengthen one's memory?

too make your retention level up. I dunno..but listen to
one news program and try to memory what the anchorman said,
Soon after he finishes one news, you reproduce what he/s has said.

but how do you improve on your reproduction ability?
Just keep doing it again and again?

Yeah, I guess so. Just keep doing it again and again will do. You
will improve your memory to draw pictures in your mind on what you have heard.
When there are a lot of numbers it's hard to memory though...
if you do it from Japanese-English Eng-Jap, it's a training to be
an interpreter. I'm terrible though...

544 :Gerrard over Lampard :2006/07/26(水) 09:52:33
As a native English speaker studying Asian languages,
I know how difficult it is to study another language with
a completely different structure. Many Asian speakers
(predominantly Japanese and Koreans) seem to struggle when it
comes to listening and I do get the similar sort of experience
when I get to listen and speak in Japanese.

There is no quick way of mastering it. Make sure that you know
as many words as possible before practising your listening skills.
Otherwise, you will not have any clue what the speaker is talking
about. And also, PRACTISE! Speak to yourself in English (I do that
with Japanese quite often) and try writing for a bit if you
want to get better.

Don't be afraid of your mistakes, though. Of Course you're
going to sound Japanese because YOU ARE JAPANESE! It's just
like how my Chinese teacher told me how I sound British
when speaking in Chinese. Luckily, I don't hear that sort of
thing anymore lol.

Try http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/networks/radio1/audiolist.shtml
This is BBC Radio 1 (anyone who doesn't know what BBC is?) and
you can choose what program to listen to. To practise
your writing, feel free to e-mail jamie_k44@hotmail.co.uk
I will be happy to help your way through. Cheers,

Hello. I'm Amy. I live in British Columbia, Canada and I'm learning Japanese.
I've been learning Japanese out of school for about a year now, and It totally beats learning French!
Nowadays I find myself coming here, even though I can barely read the posts.
I can't read most Kanji, but I can read Hiragana and Katakana.
I really like Densha Otoko, and I think thats how I found this site originally too.
Please treat me nicely even though I'm not very good at Japanese! ^_^;;

I'm having lunch now.

568 :Amy:2006/07/26(水) 13:14:47
Heh heh, really? He's really cute. -blushes-
I can't stand to go "Aww...". I hope there are people in real life like him. xD
I want to go and live in Japan when I'm an adult, I swear I will, along with my twin sister.
We are both somewhat fans of anime too, but not as obsessive, defiantley not.

569 :Amy:2006/07/26(水) 13:15:53
What time is it there? Right now it's 9:15 pm. :'D

570 :Taroh:2006/07/26(水) 13:21:56
Amy, you said:It totally beats learning French!
Do you mean you got more interested in learning Japanese than French
and quited learning French?

571 :Yoshy:2006/07/26(水) 13:21:59
It's 1:20 p.m. in Japan

572 :Amy:2006/07/26(水) 13:26:21
Nope, I'm still learning french in school, and I will continue too (thanks to Gackt),but I like learning Japanese better and It's easier for me too. :'D
I've had my share of bad French teachers, and I haven't learnt really anything.

Ahh.. thank you! Yeah, I was a bit confused and I was just like "Hmm... whatever it says, It must be like the day or something.
Thank you! From now on, I'll be able to remember that. :'D

577 :Amy:2006/07/26(水) 13:36:05
Or are you just showing me a map of Japan? :'D

578 :Amy:2006/07/26(水) 13:38:14
I hope that didn't come off rude, 'cause I didn't mean it that way at all. ^_^;;

Be careful. Japan sinks in the near future.

580 :Amy:2006/07/26(水) 13:42:39
Anyways, I'll be frequenting here everyday from now on, since I'm on the computer alot.
Not as much as one of my friends though, she spends more then 12 hours straight on it everyday.
That's not very healthy is it? Her dad let's her do it though, so I shouldn't butt in. xD

581 :Amy:2006/07/26(水) 13:46:24
Scary... I'm not good with those kind of movies, but If I was living in Japan and that happend, I'd stay and die. xD
I'm actually quite sure on that answer too.

582 :Taroh:2006/07/26(水) 13:47:53
OK great. I will check this tread more frequently.

583 :Yoshy:2006/07/26(水) 13:49:33
Do you play Japanese video games, Amy?

584 :Amy:2006/07/26(水) 13:57:37
Oh, I love Japanese video games very dearly. When my mother was pregnant with me and my sister, she played Zelda on the SNES we still have.
Unfortunatly, not alot of the games I want to play get translated, and I don't have a Japanese PS2.
I love Dance Dance Revolution, any Ninja/Samurai based game, any Anime based game, Final Fantasy (I've only played FFX, FFVII, and FFVIII),
but I really like dating sim type games (without hentai). Unfortunalty, they don't translate many of those, but they just started to get on track of that.
Some tranalators have released Animamundi (BTW, it's a BL game for girls), and I really want to buy it! I'll have to find a way to order it! :'D
I used to play Ragnarok online, but not anymore.

585 :Amy:2006/07/26(水) 13:58:48
Yay! I'm so happy. :'D
Seriously, I've tried to get a penpal so many times, it's not funny. xD
But this is so much better.

586 :Yoshy:2006/07/26(水) 14:05:55
Final Fantasy is one of my favorites.
Best game for me is Biohazard(Resident evil)

588 :Yoshy:2006/07/26(水) 14:12:05

590 :Amy:2006/07/26(水) 14:14:16
I've heard of that one, it sounds really cool, but trust me, if even ask my parents to let me buy/rent an 'M' rated game,
they'll start to yell at me "You'll think that theres nothing wrong with death"!
I've already had a battle to buy Tenchu 3 and Red Ninja before. xD
And yeah, I'm 13. But my maturity level is that of a person thats 17! Most people my age type like this "oic so thts teh pric of bubl tea", it's really annoying.
Fu fu fu fu... still trying to get my dating sims though. xD

BTW, the weather was nice today, sitting watching DVDs and fanning myself with my Naruto fan. 8D

593 :Amy:2006/07/26(水) 14:19:44

Thank you, Wiki has really good informative articles, usually alot more then I know, therefore I'm still going to read it. :'D

I haven't heard of him, but then again, I haven't heard of many people.
I've heard of some of his movies before and I think I remember watching a bit of "The Fly" when I was small.

I don't have any favourite actors/directors/etc. but I have a ton of favourite movies, none of them in english because lately I haven't found many decent english movies.
I really like Battle Royale, but the second one was bad. I'm looking forward to the Death Note movie; I can't wait 'till it comes to DVD!

600 :Amy:2006/07/26(水) 14:35:20

I've never really went far from where I live.
I've only been to Seattle, Whistler, and Disney Land, all once.
Hopefully, Japan will be next. 8D

underlying messages and symbolism. i love it...

Cronenberg is great! My fav is The Dead Zone.

It could be disturbing to you in a lot of ways.
It's kinda...hentai...

So you guys mean The Dead Zone = kinky story?

I meant 'Naked Lunch' to Amy. sorry

609 :Amy:2006/07/26(水) 15:03:17
Hmmm... darn. Probably a couple years or maybe one? I already have a stash of 18+ Yaoi (in Japanese) that I bought accidentally on my own. o____O
Yes, the store owner allowed me to purchase it.
Big lecture came out of that wehn I unwrapped the shrink wrap (it was on every book). xD
Although, I do really like one of the storys in it. I could understand it enough that it made me cry.
Trust me, I don't like the hardcore stuff. I like the cute sweet nothings, and confessions. That stuff.

Anyway, I'll stop ranting about Yaoi because I know that guys really don't like it. ALOT.
Does anyone have any favourite flash movies or games?

610 :Amy:2006/07/26(水) 15:05:53
Well, even the Terminator had (will refrain from saying because of unknown forum rules) in it, and I say that when I was, what, 8?
I've been exposed to stuff like that alot. >______<
Scares me though. o______X

Which version of Densha Otoko are you talking about? I'm guessing the
tv-series, but there's also the movie, as well as different mangas.
Naturally there are also novels (such as the first book, which was
just the original thread slightly edited and sold in book form), but
those are but words rather than having images of the "cast".
Hmm.. I wonder if there's a dating sim based on the story o.O;;

>>596
KD is indeed horribly addictive. I was instantly hooked the first time
I played a little of it at a friend's place. I still do not have the
games though. My boyfriend also got hooked, and purchased the first
game, as well as the second game when that came out. In Japanese
though.. So no KD for me =( I could play it in Japanese, but I
wouldn't really get too much of the story, which would be sad...
I played it a little in Japanese the first time, and I got hooked.
The second time my friend had gotten ahold of an English version,
and it was even more awesome, thanks to that I actually could
understand the comments and such... So, I'm not too keen on playing
a version of the game I can't understand...

612 :Amy:2006/07/26(水) 15:12:28
What is your guys' favourite music/singer/band?

I enjoy Gackt (so beautiful), Morning Musume, and other random songs from anime.
I'm currently watching Naruto, therefore I have a lot of naruto songs on my playlist.

Yeah, I've already seen most Ghibli movies. Still waiting for Tales from Earthsea. 8D

From what I saw in the trailer for 'Naked Lunch' it seems pretty easy to understand,
but now that I see that it's rated 'R' there is no way I'll be able to see it, so cross that out.

I'm still fighting to see "Broke Back Mountain". xD

One day, a Japanese lady enjoyed dinner at an upscale restaurant overseas.
She tried to tell the waiter," I really enjoyed dinner tonight. you must
have a good cook." But the waiter blushed. Why?

(Ans.)
She said, "You must have a good cock" with an akward pronunciation.

Miniorities often become focused on their victimization. I can understand
his opinions, although I have a more relaxed position to the word, not
being a resident nor visitor in Japan. I would more of react to _how_
someone uses the word, rather than the actual word itself - the same way
calling someone a "genious" may be an insult, or a compliment (though
with that word the insult is done through sarcasm, as opposed to when "gaijin"
can be used in insultive ways). Though, as a double myself - or perhaps
I should call myself a triple, (though quite frankly, even that isn't
a good explenation of my roots, not ethnically nor socially), I indeed
can understand his reasoning. Understandment does not equal agreement, however.
Though I do agree with several points of his, perhaps most, even. I can't
quite decide.

x I wanna break k-tan's virgin.
o I wanna take k-tan's virginity.
o I wanna pop k-tan's cherry.
o I wanna break k-tan's hymen.

Not really doable, though. Especially the last one, as I never had
a that significant amount of hymen in the first place. All women aren't
born with a hymen that covers a large chunk of their vaginal canal, you know.
Women are not born with some sort of "freshness seal".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hymen
>The normal hymen is never actually "intact" since there is always an
>opening in it. Furthermore, there is not always bleeding at first
>vaginal penetration. The blood that is sometimes, but not always,
>observed after first penetration can be due to tearing of the hymen,

>injuries to the hymen and surrounding tissues often quickly heal,
>leaving the hymenal tissue looking as if there had been no injury at

The more people know real facts about life and the world, the better.
Ignorance and lack of awareness doesn't tend to lead to good things,

If an argument angers you, you're taking it too seriously. There are too many
people who argue for the sake of arguing, and do not really mean what they say.
You shouldn't invest too much emotional energy into it, and you also
might want to study the art of rhetorics.
And going away from the computer is something one definitely should, it's
very much not healthy to spend all of one's day in front of it, even
if one doesn't get fat. Health is about a lot more than if one is fat
or not (which sadly a lot of people seem to believe: "What? I'm not
fat, why would I need to exercise on a daily basis?").

Oh.. Also: Never ever argue for the sake of "winning". Argue for
the sake of getting something out of the argument, like learning
about why some people think that way, and how to point out that
it's less than good if you still feel your opinion is more valid.
Also, sometimes two people can be against and for something because
of the exact same arguments - they just have different sets of
values, and perceive different things are more important.

I often eat miso soup lamen and solt soup.I'm too old to eat TONKOTSU.
But mostly for young people I think TONKOTSU is best soup for lamen.
They don't need to be much care of their health and fat on the stomach as I have.
Anyway I'm thinkig about dinner tonight.

In English, "lolikon"/"lolicon" is mostly used to refer people who have
the hots for anime/manga type children (for instance any of the azumanga
characters, or any character as young or younger than them), while as
"pedophile" is used to refer to people who are into real human children.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lolikon is a good page about it.

I used to frequent userfriendly.org, and it was used a bit more freely
there, as in that it doesn't have to be computer related, just anything
that someone thinks the commenter should get their attitude adjusted.
(further explenation: Celine Dion is too frequently used as a stereotype
example of music in French at some places, in spite of it not being fair
to stereotype french music to her kind of music)

only the US and perhaps Israel have...

think about it. most countries in the world are still using
equipments decades old.

What kind of joke? And for whom?
Though in general: No.
But I really don't think it's healthy to take life too seriously,
nor too lightly.

I'm sorting through documents and stuff in my room, and looking at this
thread. I'm tired yet not really sleepy. Rather awake, in fact.
It's just that it feels weird when there's only one more person in a thread
to talk with. I'm not too used to that on BBS such as this one.

you really shouldn't underestimate NK's missiles.
you never know where it could go once it's launched...

When it comes to nukes and such, perhaps. But I was also thinking more of
biological and chemical weapons, not as much electronical nor nuclear.
I was under the impression more countries than that could get ahold of
more dangerous weapons that could cause massive damage. Mostly just an
impression, though.

well... i guess joke is a joke anyway. for whom? don't really know.
but perhaps for a self. by the way, i don't like standing on the
middle ground. it's ok sometimes, but most of the time, it's just
not my nature. like a pendrum, i shift from being a really serious
to a really light hearted person. haha... but never in the middle.

it's not as easy as some claim to get hold of chem and bio weapons.
in fact, making biological weapons are quite difficult. (chem one is
slightly easier, though).

Though most of the global community seems to have dismissed the possibility
of NK being able to produce longer-range missiles soon enough. Especially
US seems to have dismissed the possibility that NK will ever pose
a threat to them within the nearest decade, and thus care a lot
less. Still worring though, because NK is blatantly trying to
show off and put fear into people. I wonder what they're planning to do...

984 :berenjena ◆qReGbtCTS6 :2006/07/31(月) 09:10:24

they are just waiting for the US to invade NK. haha... they
want to finish off the FINAL BATTLE before everyone in the NK
die out of famines. i have to say NK is being very patient, though.

Ah. I tend to be several things simultaneously. That's probably why
I have difficulties with relaxing, because a part of myself deep down
keeps being serious, regardless of what other moods I'm in too.

i think that's quite common. i see that quite often in women...
that's why men don't often understand women. haha... just kidding.
personally though, i don't really trust women that much.

True. They just use the threat as diplomatic tactics mainly with the US.
Media make a big deal out of it too.
I was kind of joking about how accurate their thechnology used in the missiles is...

Hm..
I've read the book http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1896597890/sr=8-1/qid=1154305129
some year or so ago. It was interesting. Makes NK seem rather hollow and
empty.

i think it's quite funny to see that the UK wants to develop
a next generation nuke while she still tries to stay on the moral
high ground. what a hipocrasy!

Heh? I thought that was just a result of my instable upbringing.
And why do you have difficulties trusting "women" as a category?
Is there any reason for why you feel the generic man is more trustworthy?
Wouldn't it be easier to just trust people based on their merits and
achievements, rather than what they're packing in their pants (or kilts,
skirts, or whatever their preferred lower body wear is)?

>>988
Ahh, I see. =)
I've just heard too many comments about that NK must have been trying
to lull the rest of the world in a false sense of security with the
failure to automatically assume you were kidding.

Againt terrorists? That would be ridicurous.

the book seems very interesting. but i am more worried about what's
going to happen in europe and in the middle east. NK can't and won't
do anything stupid. because the only stupid one in the world is the US...
audacity to invade other countries and to condone what the israeli gov
is doing.

ah... but have you ever read Schopenhauer? he sees the fundamental
difference between men and women.i am not saying women are 100% not trustworthy,
or men are more trustworthy than women. i just don't trust women that much
from my experience. but then again, because of that, i love them even more.:)

But don't you see! We HAVE TO blow up the planet if the terrorists
are trying to mess with us! If we don't, they'll win! This way, they'll have
nothing left to take power over! Isn't it great!
..Yes, I was being sarcastic. I don't see a sensible use in having
weapons that will cause massive damage to a considerable chunk of Earth.
Especially as if several people have those, then that's pretty much
a guarantee for that there will be nothing left of this planet once
they start putting them into use.

>>995
Hmm.. No, sorry. Haven't read yet anything by him yet.
In my opinion men are as much and as little trustworthy as women.
I don't think women and men are identical, however there are too many
other factors than gender that matters to bother judging people on
their gender, the same way I can't be bothered to try to judge people
based on their ethnicity. Culture does promote certain traits, however
that doesn't automatically mean everyone adheres to those traits, it
merely means they're likely to be aware of them to some extent. Also,
the illusion of homogenous societies are exactly that: illusions. There
are more and less homogenous societies, depending on how you look at it,
but no truly homogenous societies. Jokes about stereotypes of different
population groups within a country is a good example of that.

From my experience, men and women are just as little/much trustworthy.
But then again I've never really tried to interact with people of one
particular gender in pursuit of a relationship. Seems to me most of
the issues many people have regarding the other gender stem from that.
